Todays Useless Invention: Eyeglasses for Flies

I can't believe it either. This photo was entered into a German science-photo competition. Glasses were made with super-precision lasers so they could fit on a flies .08-inch-wide head. Yes they do look pretty slick, but I don't know if we are going to hear any thanks from the fly.
